That's really all I have to say about that.

Robbie became the first-ever back-to-back champion!  Robbie had already won the entire thing before the Championship game, but he also picked the champion correctly to pick up some major points.

This was the first time ever that anyone in any challenge had won two in a row... we're not exactly sure how he did it... we're still looking into it... but it must have something to do with the state of Kentucky... because he won with UK in 2012 and Louisville in 2013.  Hmmm....

2011: Jeremy Bird

Choosing UCONN finally paid off for Jeremy Bird!  Every year, he always went with the Huskies.  And every year they were eliminated early.  But in 2011, they managed to barely beat Butler in the worst Championship game ever played Championship game and Jeremy just squeaked past Jo (Mom) for the Bracket Challenge Victory.

Jeremy took the lead after the Elite 8 and he never let it go.

Jeremy was not a gracious winner, turning into a diva after he clinched the victory.  His sending emails and texts demanding updates to the blog was eye-opening.

Jeremy Bird was a winner, yes... but the title may have changed him forever.

Update: 2012 - sucked again... he's back to being nice.

2010: Jacob Young

In the toughest Bracket Challenge to-date... Jacob Curtis came out with the victory, overtaking the defending champion Teresa in the last possible second!

In a year where the bracket was crazy, Jacob chose a team that hurt his Uncle Brad's heart and it just so happened that it worked out.

This marked the first major victory for the kids in our challenges!  And for the second year in a row, a member of the family won in their first try (Jacob was unable to participate in 2009 due to illness).

Jacob proved that he is a force to be reckon with.

2009: Teresa Matters

Teresa Matters' victory in the first FULL Young Family Bracket Challenge will always be one to remember!  Not only did Teresa win in her first-ever attempt, the North Carolina Tar Heels were the ones to lead her to that victory.

Teresa started the 2009 Challenge off slowly... she held her place down near the bottom of the standings in the first few rounds and then came out of nowhere to destroy everyone!  That's how you win the Bracket Challenge - longevity!

She set the all-time record for points in a Challenge with 333 (still standing)!  And she kicked some serious butt on her way... setting the standard on how to WIN and WIN BIG!

2008: Heather Abbott

Heather Abbott's Bracket Challenge inaugural victory in the Young Family Bracket Challenge should really have an asterisk (*).  In 2008, the Challenge was only between three people: Beth, Bradley, and Heather.

There are no records for this year - which makes this victory simply ceremonial - but Heather picked up the victory after selecting all four #1 seeds to advance to the Final Four... and guess what?  For the first time ever, it happened...

But with as much as we joke that this victory should not have counted, it is because of Heather that we have this Challenge!  She was the one who called us up and asked if we wanted to play.  Heather Abbott, Founder of the Young Family Bracket Challenge & 2008 Winner.
